    Suicide is an enormous public health problem (Sareen 2011). Suicidal behaviors, defined in this chapter as suicidal ideation (SI) and suicide attempt (SA), are highly prevalent in communities, with incidences of 11%–14% for the former and 2.8%–4.6% for the latter (Sareen et al. 2005).
