Patients' and observers' assessments of process and outcome in group therapy: a follow-up study

A six-month follow-up investigation of process and outcome in group therapy was conducted by the authors and patients in two therapy groups. The results indicated that although there were discrete stages in the therapeutic sequence, acceptance was the most beneficial process variable for both groups.
