Determining Factors in Migration and Adaptation of Mexican Psychiatrists to the United States: A Mexican Viewpoint

The authors discuss their study of the 100 Mexican psychiatrists who have trained in the United States; only 46 have returned to Mexico. Factors in their failures to return include the greater financial and professional opportunities outside Mexico, poor personal ties in Mexico, and marriage to a non-Mexican.
