Referral Failures: A One-Year Follow-Up
Abstract
The authors found that most of the patients in their study—98 out of 153—did not make or keep their appointments at an outpatient clinic after being evaluated and referred. One year later they were able to obtain information on 51 of these patients and found that 40 of them had received some type of professional care.
