Psychiatry in Viet Nam-1966
Abstract
There is a real place for the visiting psychiatrist in Viet Nam, even though his period of duty may be as short as two months. Psychiatric facilities in the country are few and seriously undermanned, but the staff at the major mental hospital in Bien Hoa is remarkable for its dedication to the patients. Besides reporting on the Bien Hoa and other hospitals, the author describes Vietnamese views about mental illness and its treatment.
