Family Characteristics of Obsessive Children

A sociopsychiatric study of 30 obsessive children and their parents found them not to be at all deviant from the norms of middle-class, white Anglo-Saxon Protestant North America. Both demographically and attitudinally, they conformed to these norms and ideals. The parents seemed to have as "virtues" traits that were similar to the children's symptoms.
