Deputy Division Head,

The Department of Psychiatry http://psychiatry.ucsd.edu/ within the School of Medicine at UC San Diego is seeking clinical leaders to serve in several roles, such as Deputy Division Head, Section Chief, or Unit Head to help develop, in conjunction with the Division Head and Department Chair, a new division of clinical psychiatry (UCSD Behavioral Health) that integrates all university-based clinical psychiatric services. Candidates will be expected to work with the Division Director of UCSD Behavioral Health to revise the Division’s portfolio of consultation liaison, inpatient, psychiatric emergency, outpatient, and embedded mental health services.
The candidates should have experience in one or more of the following areas both as a clinician and as a leader: inpatient psychiatry; outpatient psychiatry; consultation liaison psychiatry; or other areas in which mental health exists as an “embedded service”, e.g., mental health services within a cancer center, HIV/AIDS service, burn unit, programs dealing with neuropsychiatric disorders, etc.
Candidate should be American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology Board Certified and be up-to-date with Maintenance of Certification activities or a California license eligible psychologist from an American Psychological Association approved Clinical Psychology doctoral program. The specific roles will be defined in consultation with the Division Director and the Chair of the Department of Psychiatry, but may include direct service on one of the units described above, as well as supervision of other aspects of clinic and hospital based mental health care. Candidate is expected to have a track record in clinical teaching, administration, and evidence of clinical scholarship is desired. The candidate should bring life-span and collaborative perspective to the position and ideally have experience working within integrative care model systems.

Virginia Commonwealth University, Department of Psychiatry is recruiting 3 BE/BC Psychiatrists with community psychiatry and academic career interests to provide outpatient clinical care and supervise/teach residents/medical students.
