Reporting to the Chair of the Department of Psychiatry, the candidate will be responsible for refining the vision and mission of UC San Diego Behavioral Health, for recruiting, providing clinical mentorship to, and overseeing the activities of a group of approximately 50 clinicians. The candidate will work with the Chair of the Department of Psychiatry as well as officers of the UC San Diego Health System to develop a clinical management and business plan and also will be responsible for program evaluation. Candidate is expected to have a track record in clinical teaching, and evidence of clinical scholarship. The candidate should bring life-span and collaborative perspective to the position and ideally have experience working within integrative care model systems. The candidate’s series and academic rank will depend on the qualifications of the candidate, though candidates at the Full Professor or mid-range Associate Professor level are desirable.
