Acknowledgments of Anatomical Advances
LENNART HEIMER, M.D. Charlottesville, Va.
To the Editor: After reflecting on my article that was published last year (1), I want to recognize the scientific advances of Janice Stevens, who presented an anatomical framework for schizophrenia more than 30 years ago (2). In the context of anatomical studies, I also want to acknowledge Walle Nautas pioneering work in the field of silver techniques and regarding the anatomical organization of the forebrain, which has served as an impetus for much of our work in the basal forebrain.
