Potential HIV exposure in psychiatrically hospitalized adolescent girls
DG Baker and D Mossman
Millcreek Psychiatric Center for Children, Cincinnati, OH.
The authors surveyed 23 psychiatrically hospitalized adolescent girls
regarding behavior that involves high risk of HIV infection. Over half
(57%) of the girls reported high-risk sexual activities; these girls were
more likely to have sexually transmitted diseases, substantial drug abuse
histories, and diagnoses of conduct disorder.
