Parental alcoholism as a risk factor in benzodiazepine abuse: a pilot study

Nine of 12 men with a family history of alcoholism but only two of 12
control subjects had euphoric responses to alprazolam. The authors conclude
that sons of alcoholics may be at high risk to abuse alprazolam.
