Thyroid indices in panic disorder

The authors compared indices of thyroid function in 26 patients with panic
disorder and 26 closely matched control subjects. No significant
differences in T3, T4, free T4, thyrotropin, or thyroxine-binding globulin
were found between the two groups. Clinical and theoretical implications
are discussed.
