Neuroleptic-induced tics in two hyperactive children
CT Gualtieri and DR Patterson
Two hyperactive boys who had developed motor and phonic tics during
stimulant treatment reacted similarly to low doses of haloperidol and
thioridazine. Neuroleptic-induced tics may be a consequence of presynaptic
dopamine blockade.
