Lithium potentiation of tricyclic antidepressants following lack of T3 potentiation

Four patients whose depressions were failing to respond to administration
of tricyclic antidepressants were given separate trials of T3 and lithium.
In all four cases, T3 failed to potentiate the antidepressant, whereas the
lithium did.
