Hypertension associated with oral administration of physostigmine in a patient with Alzheimer's disease
JW Cain
The hemodynamic effects of physostigmine, a cholinomimetic drug used in the
experimental treatment of Alzheimer's disease, are largely unknown. The
author describes the development of episodes of hypertension in an elderly
patient with Alzheimer's disease following treatment with oral
physostigmine.
