Early parental absence as an indicator of course and outcome in chronic schizophrenia

In two studies of chronic schizophrenic patients, long-term inpatients were
found to have a significantly higher rate of histories of early parental
absence than outpatients. Early parental absence may be an indicator of
course and outcome in chronic schizophrenia.
