Lithium and tryptophan augmentation in clomipramine-resistant obsessive- compulsive disorder

Obsessive-compulsive patients with symptoms resistant to clomipramine were
treated by lithium or L-tryptophan augmentation. The improvement noted
supports the hypothesis that increasing serotonergic neurotransmission
ameliorates obsessive symptoms.
