The authors describe the clinical and pharmacologic management of a patient
who developed an organic affective syndrome during a simulated deep-diving
experiment. The physiological complexities of deep-diving research are
reviewed, as well as the neuropsychiatric symptoms of the high pressure
nervous syndrome.
