Familial unipolar depressive illness: a pedigree study
LH Pardue
The author reports a study of five generations of a family in which several
members had unipolar depression responsive to tricyclic medication. He
concludes that genetic factors play an important role in this disorder and
emphasizes the need for pharmacogenetic studies in psychiatry.
