Oxprenolol in the treatment of anxiety due to environmental stress
WP McMillin
The author conducted two trial studies to evaluate the use of oxprenolol in
the treatment of symptoms resulting from environmental stress. Results
indicated that on a three-times-a-day regimen, 80 mg of oxprenolol was
superior to 20 mg of oxprenolol and equally as effective as 5 mg of
diazepam. The author discusses the benefit of beta-blocking drugs and
points to the need for further studies.
