Atypical tardive dyskinesia
RA Moline
The author reports an atypical case of tardive dyskinesia in a 19-year- old
male who had been given relatively low dosages of neuroleptic medication
for less than 6 months. The symptoms cleared within 3 months after the
medication was discontinued. The author reviews the literature regarding
similar atypical cases and suggests that increased reporting and careful
description of such cases might be useful in furthering our understanding
of this syndrome.
