The treatment of depression with ECT in the presence of brain tumor

Traditionally, the presence of brain tumor has been considered an absolute
contraindication to the use of electroconvulsive therapy. In selected
cases, however, this procedure may be beneficial and at times even
lifesaving. The authors point to the need for an eclectic approach to
treatment, given the current state of psychiatric knowledge.
