Self-Help Treatment Programs

Self-help treatment programs have emerged as a significant development in the human services for a growing number of populations in need. The author explores their history, range, and prospects for the future as well as their sociological and political roots. The self-help movement is considered to have profound implications for mental health caregiving systems.
