Foreign Certification in Psychiatry

The author's survey of psychiatry department chairmen in the United States disclosed that a large majority regard certification in psychiatry by the Royal Colleges of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and England as roughly equivalent to certification by the ABPN in psychiatry; they do not, however, regard certification by other foreign agencies as equivalent.
