Treatment of Mania with Cinanserin, an Antiserotonin Agent

Cinanserin, a new drug with antiserotonin activity, produced a rapid remission of the manic phase of manic-depressive psychosis in five of seven cases described by the author. No significant toxicity was encountered. The findings indicate that this drug deserves further clinical study.
