Genetic versus Nongenetic Affective Disorder

The role of genetic factors in affective illness is examined in this study of patients hospitalized for affective disorders. On the basis of a number of clinical variables, there were only negligible differences between those patients who had a positive family history of affective disorder and those with a negative history.
