Catatonia Induced in Monkeys by Antibrain Antibody

ROBERT G. HEATH M.D., D.M.SC.1, and IRIS M. KRUPP PH.D.

1 Chairman of the Department of Psychiatry and Neurology, Tulane University School of Medicine, 1430 Tulane Avenue, New Orleans, La. 70112

Observations made in the experiments indirectly support the hypothesis that schizophrenic serum contains antibody against the brain and that symptoms of schizophrenia are the result of an immune process.
