The Forensic Psychiatry Clinic at Temple University was established to serve the needs of the indigent and their attorneys in both criminal and civil cases. Closed reports and "private" consultations are provided at the earliest stage of the legal problem. The significance of this type of clinic lies in its versatility and comprehensive approach to the evaluation and treatment of legal-psychiatric problems, its availability for clinical training of lawyers and psychiatrists, and its potential for continued research.
