CONTROL OF SEXUAL HYPERACTIVITY WITH THIORIDAZINE
ILSE KAMM M.D.1
1 Springfield State Hospital, Sykesville, Md.
The successful use of thioridazine in controlling overt sexual hyperactivity in 2 women is reported (8 cases having been observed), possibly as one of the additional limited potentialities that can be observed in the action of certain phenothiazines. The improvement resulted in lessening of other behavior problems which had been aggravated by the necessary restrictions imposed on these patients by ward personnel.
