J. D. M. GRIFFIN 1, D. G. McKERRACHER 1, , and F. S. LAWSON 1

1 R.C.A.M.C

An attempt has been made in this paper to outline the development of the psychiatric service in the Canadian Army. Its organization has been described with particular emphasis on the procedures adopted to meet existing and in some cases unique problems of geography and personnel. It is to be pointed out that this organization is still in the developmental stage. It has been beset with many difficulties and not infrequent criticisms. However, evidences are appearing that some progress is being made and that the way to future progress is clearly marked.
