Abstract

1. Fatalities resulting from the use of small doses of insulin are described in (a) subshock treatment of a case of schizophrenia and in (b) tonic treatment of a case of delirium tremens.2. The clinical and pathoanatomic features in these two cases are identical with those observed in fatal complications of ordinary insulin shock therapy.
