ELECTRIC SHOCK THERAPY IN THE TREATMENT OF A DEPRESSED PARAPLEGIC
Abstract
A 25-year-old paraplegic with a severe depression and suicidal preoccupation completed a course of 15 electroshock treatments using anectine as a muscle relaxant. There were no complications during the course of the therapy. His depression improved and the suicidal preoccupation disappeared.
