Abstract

1. Glutamic acid accelerates mental functioning in human subjects.2. The acceleration is general and is not restricted to segments of the intelligence and personality of the individual.3. The greatest improvement in intelligence and performance test scores occurs within the initial 6 months of treatment, after which the acceleration is diminished and appears to be approaching a ceiling after one year of therapy.
