Abstract
The authors received 228 response to a questionnaire on psychic phenomena mailed to professors and residents in psychiatry, other medical faculty, and deans of medical schools. Fifty-eight percent of the respondents believed that an understanding of psychic phenomena is important to future graduates of psychiatry, and 44% believed that psychic factors are important in the healing process.
