Abstract
A number of writers have advanced the opinion that it is beneficial to a patient to have a therapist of the same ethnic background. The authors point out that this may lead to "blind spots" that prevent the therapist from seeing the irrationality of certain of the patient's attitudes. They give three case examples that illustrate this point.Abstract Teaser
