Abstract
The New York State mental hospital system has recently limited the admission of the "simply senile," those with organic brain syndrome who are neither psychotic nor severely depressed. The authors studied 53 such people and concluded that these patients are usually severely ill and often need psychiatric hospitalization before their placement in the community.Abstract Teaser
