Abstract
The author believes that most individuals who face imminent retirement are not prepared for it. This is due to factors such as forced early retirement and the individual's not being prepared to confront himself in a non working environment. He believes that preretirees need transitional programs such as the one provided by the Oliver Wendell Holmes Association, which helps preretirees examine their potentials and plan for the future and also motivates them to lead a creative retired life.Abstract Teaser
