Abstract
The authors studied seven children with either pavor nocturnus or somnambulism, or both, in an attempt to find a method of treating these sleep disorders. Each child received imipramine orally at bedtime for a minimum of eight weeks. In all seven patients a complete cessation of symptoms resulted. Although the drug seems to be an effective treatment for these disorders, its mechanism of action is not yet known.Abstract Teaser
