The author sketches some of the psychodynamic insights of certain frequently occurring crisis situations, including work disorders and disruptions in significant relationships. The psychopathology underlying the symptoms of homosexuals and those of heterosexuals with homosexual trends, as well as the psychopathology that determines and maintains the homosexual adaptation itself, provide a springboard for many of the psychiatric crises seen in these two patient groups.Abstract Teaser
