Abstract
The author presents results of a study of psychological reactions of patients undergoing renal transplantation. The study identified a kind of "emotional transplant": the image of the kidney becomes part of the psychological structures present in the psychic apparatus, finally becoming merged with the individual's self-representations.Abstract Teaser
