Abstract
Although the first and second psychiatric revolutions are unequivocally credited to Pinel and Freud respectively, the true designation of the third revolution in psychiatry is still in question. This author presents his argument for awarding the title to the development and use of psychoactive drugs; community psychiatry, he feels, should be considered the fourth psychiatric revolution.Abstract Teaser
