Abstract
As President-Elect of the American Medical Association, Dr. Hudson stresses the important role that every physician must play in improving the provision of mental health services. The medical profession has much to gain from a knowledge of modern psychiatric techniques as well as much to contribute toward their effective administration. It is essential that psychiatrists and other physicians strive for empathy and respect so that programs will be developed which will meet the needs of all concerned—especially the American public.Abstract Teaser
