Abstract
Successful adjustment of former state hospital patients to nursing homes is determined to a greater degree by psychiatric status and initial adjustment during the period immediately following placement than by social and physical characteristics of nursing homes, staff attitudes toward the mentally ill, caseworker follow-up, the patient's social background, or clinical picture in the hospital.Abstract Teaser
