Abstract
Maintenance convulsive treatment was recommended to 210 patients after a repeated attack of a psychotic illness had been terminated with ECT. Fifty-seven patients accepted, 153 patients refused. Of those who accepted, 12% relapsed during a period of up to 6 years of observation and treatment; of the patients who refused, 79% relapsed.Abstract Teaser
