Abstract
After twenty years of research with insulin treatment in schizophrenia the published evidence is inconclusive and contradictory. Wide variations in remission and recovery have been reported but the number of published control studies is meagre. Psychological tests yield no definitive data on prognosis or the effects of treatment. Insulin treatment in schizophrenia continues to pose a major challenge to research.Abstract Teaser
