Abstract
1. The literature of industrial psychiatry and the development of mental hygiene programs in Federal agencies in Washington are reviewed.2. The organization and administration of the employee counseling program in the Veterans Administration Central Office are described.3. It is the function of the industrial psychiatrist to aid the employee in his job adjustment and to advise personnel officers as to the aspects of preventive psychiatry.Abstract Teaser
