Abstract
In the article "A Controlled Clinical Trial of Alprazolam for the Treatment of Anxiety" by Karl Rickels, M.D., et al. in the January 1983 issue (pp. 82-85), the last complete sentence in column 1 on page 84 should read, "In a second preference rating comparing study drug to prior psychiatric drug, patients on either active drug (alprazolam, 28 of 37 or 76%; diazepam, 20 of 32 or 63%) preferred the study drug more often than did placebo patients (14 of 38 or 37%) (x2=11.99, df=2, p<.01)." The staff regrets this error.
