Abstract
As men seek the answers to the major public policy questions of our time, they increasingly turn to psychiatry. The author cites several major areas where he feels psychiatry has a potential contribution, including health economics, antisocial disorders, and family planning. The author asks psychiatrists to respond to today's challenges with a combination of responsibility and humility.
